This collection of resources feature tools that help with the text-to-speech conversion to make reading and understanding texts easier for students. 

Capti

With Capti Browser Extension you can: listen to web articles, format web page text to make it easier to read, and to save content to Capti cloud. Access your content later from Capti web and iOS apps. The following services are offered for free: Text-to-sppeech, speech tracking word-by-word, fonts, colors, screen-reader-accessibility. It is available on Chrome Extension.

Capti Brower Extension has not currently pledged compliance with the Connecticut Student Data Privacy law. Please contact in-district personnel to set up the Data Privacy Pledge with this company. 

Speechify

Speechify creates audio versions of books, PDFs, downloads from Google Drive, and more. All features are free and it is available on most digital platforms. Speechify has also pledged compliance with the CT Student Data Privacy law.

Read & Write

Read & Write helps you to hear emails or documents read out loud. It also includes text prediction, picture dictionaries, summary highlighters, and a grammar, spelling and confusable words checker. Read & Write has also pledged compliance with the CT Student Data Privacy law.

Immersive Reader

The Immersive Reader is a tool that reads text out loud, breaks it into syllables, and increases spacing between lines and letters. All features are free. It is available on most platforms except Chrome Extension. Immersive Reader has also pledged compliance with the CT Student Data Privacy law.

Seeing AI

Seeing AI reads a text out aloud in front of the camera, provides audio guidance to capture a printed page, and reads handwritten text. All features are free and Seeing AI is available on most digital platforms. Seeing AI has also pledged compliance with the CT Student Data Privacy law.

ClaroSpeak

ClaroSpeak is a tool that features text-to-speech, converts text to audio file, and utilizes word prediction. You can access and open the text-to-speech, document editing, and word prediction functions from DropBox and GoogleDrive. It is available on most digital platforms. ClaroSpeak has also pledged compliance with the CT Student Data Privacy law.

PrizmoGo

Prizmo Go offers help with text-to-speech and dealing with the text's contents. Aim your device at the text. Before shooting, Prizmo Go shows lines of text directly in the camera preview to let you know what it sees, in a way similar to augmented reality but for text. After shooting, you get direct access to textual contents. Prizmo Go can read the text aloud, and it also offers a number of interactions with text contents. Or you can simply copy/paste the text to other apps or to your Mac.All features are free and it is available on iOS platforms.
