State Education Resource Center - Literacy Initiative

The Literacy Initiative joins the Connecticut State Department of Education in the commitment to a balanced approach to literacy instruction in order for all students, including students with disabilities and students at-risk, to develop the proficiency, confidence, and fluency in reading, writing, speaking, listening, viewing, and thinking needed to meet the literacy demands of the 21st century.

New at the Library - Welcome to our Reading Room!

Our new reading room has comfortable chairs, a table for small group collaboration, Wi-Fi access, and a television for viewing DVDs or videotapes. This room is located on the right just beyond the wooden tables in the library and is great for working on a project, studying, or taking a break on your own or with colleagues.
